How much development is enough?

You might be wondering how much commercial, industrial and residential is already approved in and around the Acreage. Below is a link to a file obtained from the County that was dated December 10, 2015. Please note this needs to be updated as there have been or are changes since that date. However, this information should help you decide whether you think we need more or if it is time to say, enough already!

It is time our community think about what we want to look like a year from now, five years from now, etc. It is important that WE think about the community as a whole, and what we want and need, and not allow the County to decide what they think we need. We need to continue to demand the County not make changes to the Comprehensive Plan which erode the very reasons we made our homes in the Acreage.

Let’s make the Acreage the best we can for future generations! This means protecting what is left. We are a rural, agricultural, equestrian, residential community. We are the Acreage! Commercial plazas and gas stations do not belong on every other corner.  Please speak up on these important issues by letting the County Commissioners know. To read the file, click  CWC-Projects
